Waynesburg Elementary is excited to announce that Mrs. Kristy Johnson has accepted the position of instructional coach beginning the 2024-25 school year. Mrs. Johnson has 22 years of teaching experience including 2 years at Georgetown Middle School and 20 years at Lincoln County Middle School, with experience as a social studies and English teacher, interventionist, reading/writing specialist, literacy coach, instructional coach and library media specialist.
Mrs. Johnson is a 1993 graduate of Lincoln County High School. After high school, she earned her bachelor's degree in middle school education (English and social studies) from Eastern Kentucky University. Later, she received her master's degree as a reading and writing specialist and her Rank I as a library media specialist.
"I appreciate the many opportunities I have had through Lincoln County School District, especially at Lincoln County Middle School," said Mrs. Johnson, "I have worked with the best staff and love our students. I am excited for the opportunity to work at Waynesburg Elementary with a staff that strives to do the best for students."

Kristy and her husband, Mack, have two sons that attend Lincoln County High School. They enjoy time with family and friends, being part of Pleasant View church, traveling, hiking, swimming, and volunteering with Operation Christmas Child.
