Lincoln County Schools is excited to announce Amanda Foster as the new Assistant Principal at Stanford Elementary School.
Mrs. Foster is a 1998 graduate of Lincoln County High School and was part of the last 8th grade class to attend Stanford Elementary before junior high students moved to the new Lincoln County Middle School in 1994.
After high school she attended Eastern Kentucky University where she received her degreee in Elementary Education in 2002. She then completed her Masters in Educational Leadership and in 2014 received her Rank 1 in Supervision of Instruction. She has worked her entire 20.5 year career in the district teaching at Hustonville Elementary School and has also served in numerous leadership roles during her time there.
“I am very grateful and honored to be selected for this position at Stanford. I look forward to serving the staff and students in this new role,” said Assistant Principal Amanda Foster.
Mrs. Foster and her husband, Damon, have two children (Emma and Tucker) who both attend Lincoln County High School. She enjoys attending her children’s sporting events, spending time with family and friends, cooking, entertaining and enjoying the outdoors in her free time.
Principal Julia Duncan said she’s excited to welcome Mrs. Foster to the Wildcat family, “She brings many years of experience, a great attitude, and a willingness to serve.”
She will immediately begin her new role and is eager to welcome staff and students for the new school year.
