February is Black History Month. To celebrate, some students from around the district have been learning about and making art inspired by Alma Woodsey Thomas. Thomas was a teacher and was the first African-American artist to have her art featured in the White House.
At tonight’s board meeting our FRYSC coordinators were recognized as part of FRYSC Appreciation Week by Mr. Anthony Beeler.

Tuesday (1/23/24) will be a snow day for Lincoln County Schools. This is not an NTI day and will be made up at a later date. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and efforts as we continue to navigate the winter weather and hope to see our students back in school soon.

County Judge Woods Adams presented a proclamation tonight at the board meeting in honor of National School Board Recognition month. We are thankful for our board members and their commitment to our students, staff and community.
The Lincoln County Board of Education meeting is today at 5:30 pm at the Central Office. There will also be a reception from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm in honor of school board recognition month.
