The Lincoln County Health Department is set up at the Farmers Market giving away supplies and other useful back-to-school items like face masks.
This is being offered to students and families via drive-thru service today.
Let’s all do our part to slow the spread.

Healthy at School guidelines require staff and students to wear a face mask when 6ft social distancing is unobtainable. Our district will be supplying 2 masks per student, with school specific logos on the mask.
Here’s a sneak peek at LCMS!
*NOTE- You may use own face mask too. These are to help supplement our families.

Parents/guardians, you will receive a call today from a staff member asking which option you're planning to choose (as of today) for your student for the 2020-21 school year. This is very important in helping the district make plans.

The Lincoln County Preschool/Headstart Program is in the process of contacting all returning students to determine the number of available slots for the upcoming year. We are also working through the list of those who have newly applied.
We will begin the screening process in the next couple of weeks. To begin with, we will screen many more students than we actually have slots for. We will keep a healthy waiting list, so that students can move in as soon as a spot becomes available.
The current state guidelines call for reduced group sizes; therefore we will likely have fewer available slots than in previous years. Please be patient as we work through this process. Due to staff retirements, we are working with a limited staff and are training new staff as they come on board.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to meeting our youngest future patriots!❤️💙
The Lincoln County Board of Education Special Called Meeting is tonight at 5:30. The meeting will be live on YouTube and 102.9 FM.

Dear Parents of Children with Exceptional Needs,
We are gathering your questions and concerns via social media, personal calls, and any other available platforms regarding educational options for your exceptional child.
We are in the process of collecting questions and concerns and preparing a document titled Lincoln County Exceptional Child Department: Q & A for Parents.
We encourage you to continue ask questions regarding your exceptional child’s options for return to their case manager as they begin contacting you on Friday July 17th, to continue to comment on social media outlets, and to call the Lincoln County Schools directly at 606.365.2124 to leave your questions or concerns. We will draw directly from these questions to create our document.
We will continue to gather these questions through the middle of next week and anticipate publishing the answers to your questions on July 24th.
Thanks,
Claudia Godbey, Director of Exceptional Children
