Long-standing traditions commonly handed down to create childhood memories have faded somewhat during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Who remembers waking up, jumping out of bed, looking out the window for snow, and hoping the radio would announce a snow day?
I know if I was a kid right now, I would be looking out the window for snow and listening to the radio. Taking away that experience seems a little cruel during a pandemic.
On behalf of the Lincoln County School District, I am pleased to announce that Thursday, January 28th, is an official snow day for our students. This snow day is a chance for kids to be kids while making memories by playing in the snow, baking cookies, reading books, and watching a good movie.
We will return to the serious and urgent business of learning on Friday.
Now go build a snowman and post your snow day pics in the comments below!!!
