LCHS FFA students have been at a leadership conference in Washington D.C. this past week. On their trip they got a chance to meet up with Congressman James Comer.
Comer is a former Ky FFA State President. He met with our group and discussed his role in Washington, how he represents the people of Kentucky, how the skills he learned in FFA helped him become a politician and how FFA members can directly impact the future of Kentucky agriculture.

Summer break doesn’t slow down our hard working LCHS FFA students. This morning, rising junior Sara Dunn was on WPBK-FM giving the monthly FFA report. Her teacher, Mr. Franklin, joined her in studio to observe as part of her SAE (supervised agriculture experience).
Today we celebrate freedom on the anniversary of the emancipation of the country's last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, TX on June 19, 1865.
Happy #Juneteenth!
