Lincoln County Middle School students performed “LCMS Grinchmas” last night at the Stuart Underwood Auditorium at Lincoln County High School in front of a sold-out audience.
Over 130 students from LCMS theatre production classes (6th, 7th, 8th) worked on the production with the guidance of Mrs. Megan Ralston and Mrs. Shelby Cummins, their drama teachers.
Students read several scripts, the Grinch story and watched several performance examples in class to help develop the show. The 6th grade sang, wrote commercials and performed them intermittently throughout the show. The 7th and 8th grade students broke into production groups (set, costume, hair/make-up, lights, sound, marketing and publicity) and designed, organized and planned for their portion of the performance.
There was also Grinch inspired concessions available thanks to Mrs. Jody Paver’s family and consumer science classes. It was an awesome night for our LCMS staff and students. Thanks to all who supported the performances!
