Early this summer the Lincoln County bass fishing team volunteered at the Heart of Kentucky United Way fundraiser, YakCoe, at Cedar Creek Lake.
The United Way recently sent a letter of gratitude to the team thanking them for their assistance in the fundraiser that raised $8,000 to help serve the most vulnerable in our communities. Below is an excerpt of from the letter:
I am not sure how to properly express the magnitude of appreciation and gratitude for the Lincoln County Fishing team and their coach Eric Jones. Mr. Jones and his fishing team volunteered at the event for over six hours to make the event successful. They assisted in setting up the course, unloading and loading kayaks, helping participants in the kayaks, set up, tear down and everywhere else that is needed.
Mr. Jones and the team are learning hands-on what it means to be community minded. They represent Lincoln County Schools well!
