The application process for the Lincoln County Educational Fund scholarship has begun and students may apply by obtaining an application from their school counselor at Lincoln County High School. The deadline to apply is March 30th.
The purpose of the LCEF is to provide needed financial assistance to graduating Lincoln County students who aspire to continue their education at a college, university, or technical school. Awards are made on the basis of outstanding character and financial need, along with at least a 2.0 grade point average.
LCEF awarded $88,250 in scholarships to Lincoln County graduates in 2021. “For every dollar spent by the Lincoln County Educational Fund in 2021, 98 cents of it went to colleges to fund scholarships,” said LCEF President Woods Adams. “We award scholarships exclusively to graduates of Lincoln County wishing to pursue a post secondary education. The community support over the years for this fund is mind blowing and has greatly impacted the lives of several people in our county.”
The recipients of the scholarship will be awarded during scholarship awards night at Lincoln County High School. For more information about the LCEF or how to contribute to the fund, contact Woods Adams at 859.749.1508 or Mack Johnson at 859-333-6106.
