KASA, The School Leaders Association, recently announced Stanford Elementary Principal Julia Duncan and Waynesburg Elementary Principal Dr. Amy Rigsby as part of its 2022 cohort of the Kentucky Women in Education Leadership (KWEL).
These women were chosen through a competitive application process based on specific leadership criteria. Those selected bring with them a myriad of education experience, talent, and desire to ensure all students receive a world-class education.
KWEL is in its fifth year and is designed for women working in P-12 public education who wish to strengthen or advance their careers. “This year we are inducting 58 outstanding school leaders into the program. Not only are these leaders surviving the pandemic, they are also thriving. While the pandemic variants continue to bring new challenges to our school communities, this group of talented leaders is finding new and better ways to care for, guide and ensure each student learns in a safe and caring environment,” said Dr. Rhonda Caldwell, KASA Executive Director.
The two will meet with some of the state’s top female executive educators January 27-28, 2022 in Louisville for an induction ceremony and leadership forum.
