Lincoln County High School is excited to announce Kyla Owens as the new swim team head coach. Owens is also a Child Development teacher at LCHS.
Kyla graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2020 and attended high school at Madison Southern High School where she was a member of the varsity swim team for six years. She was also a member of the Berea Dolphins swim team for 13 years and has also coached the Dolphins the past four summers. Aside from team swimming, Owens has taught private swim lessons where she promotes water safety and encourages more children to get involved in the sport.
“I am honored to been selected to take over the program,” said LCHS Head Coach Kyla Owens. Swim has always been a large part of my life and a passion of mine. I’m looking forward to this season and seeing our kids get better day by day.”
Coach Owens will immediately take over the program and hopes to begin training next month at the McDowell Wellness Center in Danville.
