Lincoln County High School has named Brandi Baker the new head coach of the girls softball team. She has been the assistant coach for the Lady Patriots softball team the past two seasons.
Brandi, a 2009 graduate of Dunbar High School, had a decorated high school softball career including 2008 Regional Player of the year and she was a 2009 Miss Kentucky Softball Candidate. After high school she went to play Division I softball for Bradley University where she was named to the Missouri Valley Conference all tournament team one season.
Baker has been involved with coaching and training softball players since her playing career ended. She is the owner of Revolution Sports in Stanford where she also coaches travel softball teams and serves as a pitching instructor.
“I am eager and excited to begin my journey as the head coach of the softball program,” said Coach Baker, who is familiar with the returning roster. “I look forward to teaching these young ladies how to compete and become forces on and off the field. We are a young team, but I could not ask for a better group of athletes to work with.”
Coach Baker and her husband Eddie enjoy farming, going to the lake and coaching travel softball. She will immediately take over the program for the Lady Pats.
