Lincoln County Schools is excited to announce David Ledford as the new principal at Hustonville Elementary. Mr. Ledford will be taking over for interim principal, Dr. Keith Look, who filled in when Jeff Craiger became the new Director of Transportation and Safety for the district.
Ledford has spent his entire 17 year career at Lincoln County Middle School. He was Assistant Principal at LCMS for the past 4 years and was previously a teacher for 13 years.
“I am very excited about joining the Hustonville team,” said Ledford. “They are a great staff who have proven they are passionate about doing what's best for kids. I look forward to the opportunities ahead of me and intend to do all I can to help the team move forward. I am so grateful for the experiences and friendships I gained at Lincoln Middle, but I am excited about my new journey as a Hustonville Tiger!”
David was born and raised in Lincoln County where he graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1999. After high school he attended Eastern Kentucky University. He is the father of two children, Dani Lynn and Landon, and is a lifelong member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church.
“David will do an outstanding job at Hustonville,” stated Superintendent Michael Rowe. “He’s really grown as a leader these past few years at the middle school and is stepping into a great position at one of our fantastic schools. He’s proven to be very dependable and we feel his stability there will be a huge benefit to the school and the district.”
In his spare time, Ledford enjoys being outdoors with his family hunting, fishing and camping. He is also a huge supporter of Lincoln Athletics and the Kentucky Wildcats. He will start his new position at Hustonville Elementary on July 1st.
