Lincoln County High School has named Eric Jones the new head coach for the bass fishing team. Coach Jones has scheduled an introductory meeting for interested students and parents for this Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Stuart Underwood Auditorium. This meeting is for anyone students in 7th-12th grades.
Several college fishing teams will have representatives at this meeting, including the head coach of the University of Kentucky’s team. There will also be a few individuals from the fishing industry there to speak about career opportunities and the economic impact of fishing.
Coach Jones said, “I can’t stress enough how important it is to get as many people as possible to attend this meeting. I want to grow support for this program and create excitement and opportunity for our students with fishing.”
Eric and his wife Adriane currently reside in Lincoln County. Their son, Dustin, a 2017 graduate, was a standout fisherman for the Lincoln County High School Bass Fishing team.
