Every year World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on March 21st. This is a global awareness event to celebrate our friends and family with Down Syndrome.
The date for World Down syndrome Day is the 21st day of the 3rd month, which was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome.
You can help spread awareness by wearing bright colored or mismatched socks. Wear them at home, work, school or wherever you may be. Since March 21st is on a Sunday this year, we will celebrate with our socks on Monday, March 22nd.
Please post your pictures wearing the socks on this post on our social media pages on Monday, March 22nd and use the hashtag #LotsOfSocks or #WDSD21.
