Name? Allissa Pendleton
Where do you work, and what do you do there?
A: I teach first grade at Stanford Elementary. This is my 27th year teaching at Stanford.
What is your favorite thing about your school?
A: I love my students, and I am thankful I get to work with friends as coworkers that care so much about what they do.
How do you spend your free time?
A: I spend my free time with my family. We like to go on hikes and adventures together.
What is your favorite food?
A: My favorite foods are Mexican food and chocolate, but not together.
What is best book you’ve ever read?
A: I am partial to children's books and I love The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.
What is your favorite movie?
A: The Wizard of Oz and Grease are definitely two of my favorites.
If you could pick one place to visit on vacation, where would it be?
A: I love going to Disney World and the beach.
Who was your favorite teacher growing up?
A: I was blessed with wonderful teachers. I am very grateful to Pam Cox, Sue Belcher, Pam Hart, Donna Coffey, and my 7th grade science teacher, among others.
What is your favorite team?
A: Kentucky Wildcats! Go Big Blue!
If you could make one rule in life, that everyone had to follow, what would it be?
A: Be so busy helping others that you don't have time to complain.
Do you wear red on Fridays?
A: Yes, I wear red on Fridays!
