Lincoln County Middle School has named Billy Harris as its interim principal.
Billy served as interim assistant principal at Lincoln County High School last year from March until the end of the school year. Before that, he was an Educational Recovery Leader for the Kentucky Department of Education through the office of Continuous Improvement and Support. He has over 32 years of experience as a teacher, instructional coach and an administrator. As an administrator, Mr. Harris spent six years as an assistant principal at Lincoln County High School and two years as the head principal of Lincoln County Middle School.
“I am thankful we have an experienced leader in Mr. Harris willing to step in that is familiar with the school and the district,” said Superintendent Smith. “This will give us time to do a proper search that will best meet the needs of our students, staff and community.”
Mr. Harris will immediately begin his role as principal at the middle school.
