Lincoln County Middle School principal Lauren Burnett has announced her resignation effective Tuesday, August 13th. Mrs. Burnett states in her resignation letter that she has accepted a position with another school district and that she is thankful for her time spent at the middle school.
Superintendent Bruce Smith said the district will move swiftly in finding a replacement. “We have great leadership and teachers at the middle school. The central office will provide every resource possible to assure our students and staff have a successful school year.”
Assistant Principal Jonie Douglas and Dean of Students Jay Jackson remain in place and the search for an interim will begin immediately.
