School Report Card Data

The Kentucky Department of Education has released its annual School Report Card Data. We are pleased to announce every school in the district maintained their previous status or improved a level. Two of our elementary schools, Crab Orchard and Waynesburg, have made significant progress moving from the Orange Level to the Yellow Level showing tremendous growth in multiple areas. Hustonville Elementary remains the highest rated school in the district with a Green rating.

The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) data provides annual information on accountability at the school, district and state levels. The accountability system gives a comprehensive view using six core indicators:

  • State Assessment Results in Reading and Mathematics

  • State Assessment Results in Science, Social Studies, and Writing

  • English Learner Progress (not applicable for Lincoln County)

  • Quality of School Climate and Safety

  • Postsecondary Readiness (High School only)

  • Graduation Rate (High School only)

To simplify communication of performance levels, the Kentucky Department of Education developed an overall performance color rating scale, ranging from Red (lowest) to Blue (highest). Lincoln County Schools showed overall growth.
